On of the most curious aspect of this carthusian monastery chemist shop is that it is still possible to find the original contents of the medicine containers, including raw materials and medical preparations. The oldes glass containers, dated to the middle of the 18th Century, were likely made in Majorca in the Gordiola Factory.

Notice that the labels are painted onto the containers in the Rococco style. It is also curious that they are heart-shaped, because thtey contained medicines known as cordials, which were thought to raise the overall heat of the body and to stimulate the stomach and the heart.
